The Melissa & Doug First Shapes Jumbo Knob Wooden Puzzle features 5 different shape puzzle pieces with oversized knobs to enable easier manipulation for kids. The puzzle is a cottage and features oval, rectangle, square, triangle and circle shapes to match.
Recommended for children aged 12 months and up.
How WE used it/What we liked
Big knob puzzles played a big part in us encouraging the open and grasp abilities and were great to find as regular puzzles were always very difficult with either small grabs or nothing. Melissa & Doug have a great and large range of big knob puzzles, but this was good as it had a few more pieces than the others. Adjust the angle of the puzzle if needed to encourage success, and if release function is limited a finger to help knock the piece out will encourage success.
