Hape Wooden Block Counting Stacker
The Hape Wooden Block Counting Stacker is a toy designed to help young children learn basic math concepts through play. It consists of a set of wooden blocks in different shapes and colors that can be stacked on a wooden base. The set also includes a wooden peg that can be used to stack the blocks. It is recommended for children aged 2 and up.
How WE used it/What we liked
The blocks on this toy are a good size that we were able to place in our daughters affected hand, or get her to reach and grab them as her skills progressed. It encourages precision with lining up the holes, which can be done solo or with assistance, and encourages use of supination if you’re child is able to do that as part of the lining up process. The great thing is that the sticks that the blocks go on are sprung, so you can push the others out of the way to give more room which helps achieve success. Another fun and simple toy, that also teaches colour matching and size concepts.
Look out for
Depending on your childs abilities, they may need some help to place the item in their hand or release it, or to line up the hole when placing back on.
