How WE used it/What we liked
These magnetic tile toys are great as they’re nice and light, don’t require any pushing together like lego etc, and are bright and colourful. These were good for holding in her affected hand and building around it, before progressing onto reach and grabbing them with the affected hand, and placing them on other shapes. The good thing about the magnets is that it helps with release if your child (like our daughter at the time) doesn’t have much control over release.
Look out for
If your child has low grasp function they may struggle to keep hold and the shapes could slip out, but you can always double up the shapes to add more thickness.
